Water Source
The water we use in our house
typically comes from a combination of sources, such as rivers, lakes, reservoirs, and groundwater.
Municipal Water Purification Facility
Once the water is sourced, it undergoes a process to remove impurities. Such process typically involves stages of adding chemical into the water.
Specifically, in the Coagulation and Flocculation stage, chemicals are added to the water to make particles clump together, making them easier to remove.
Also, in the Disinfection stage, chemicals such as chlorine is infused in the water for purification purposes.
Although such chemicals help purify the water, they still remain in our shower water, potentially harming our skin and hair.
Corroded Water Pipes
The water pipes may be over 100 years old, dating back to the early days of the community's development.
Over time, pipes can become corroded or damaged by tree roots, ground movement, and other factors. They may also become clogged with sediment, rust, or other debris, which can affect quality of the water.
Also, the length and width of the water pipe can be very long and wide to serve millions of residents and businesses. This all means that there are plenty of surfaces vulnerable to corrosion and contamination.
Your Shower Water
